Saving farms, preserving our common ground. Supporting our heritage. Enriching our agricultural community.

The Centre County Farmland Trust (The Trust) was founded in 1996 by local citizens
who desired to preserve the unique agricultural land in Centre County from growing development
pressure.
The Trust works with willing farm families to place a conservation easement on their farmlands,
ensuring that the land is preserved for agricultural purposes forever, regardless of future ownership.
Conservation easements allow farm owners to preserve their farms and perpetuate the agricultural
way of life while maintaining ownership of their land. more info
Farmland Preservation is at a critical juncture
Centre County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state, making its farmland an increasingly endangered critical resource. In order to uphold our thriving agricultural economy and the beautiful landscape that it affords us all, support of farmers and their farmland is essential.
We must act now!
